Pete was born in the Welsh town of Tredegar in 1971, and first established an interest in music at the age of 7 when he discovered the piano. At the age of 12 this fascination of the piano led to keyboards and synthesisers. He began to forge a name for himself in the local area.
By the age of 17 he became a well established member of a band called Mandrake, playing songs heavily influenced by Rush and Marillion.
Although a rock orientated artist, other genres often become prevalent such as Neo-Classical, Electronica, New-Age and Acoustic.
Eager to respond to changes and progressions of technology within music production, Pete has spent the majority of the past decade experimenting with new possibilities in sound and music creation all the while, keeping abreast of new and ever evolving developments.
With over 20 years of countless live performances and extensive studio, technical and musical knowledge, he now runs a well equipped facility dedicated to the creation of music and audio for media - Jamyama.
During the early 90’s when many bands struggled to resist the onslaught of Grunge and its ‘do or die attitude’, new and exciting avenues were explored. With the rock bias in full swing, and with a developing technical knowledge, branched deeper into electronic music, seeking underground club influences and ambient music.
Whilst still maintaining a strong Rock ethic he developed a unique sound by fusing Dark Ambience with Progressive Rock and with great effect. By the age of 21, and with a new band in tow, this fusion led to numerous recordings in several recording studios and live environments around the U.K. including the BBC Maida Vale Studios in London, where pieces were broadcast.
